The Tourism Board has launched an ASMR video for people to experience Hong Kong’s natural environments.

After collecting sounds from nature, the Tourism Board has launched an Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response video with a summer theme so people can sit back and explore the SAR as if they were here, enjoying an audiovisual experience of nature.

ASMR looks to please  people through the stimulation of their senses and has become very popular in recent years.

The HKTB has used this method in  their videos to offer viewers who are unable to visit Hong Kong in person a new experience.

This ASMR journey captures the sounds of the city and nature. Starting from the sirens of the Peng Chau ferry, visitors are brought on a journey by the sound through the bells and drums from temples, leaves being blown down at Upper Shing Mun Reservoir, waterfalls, birds, waves at Stanley and paddle surfing in Sai Kung.

What’s more, they can hear the sound of tourists open their fans and take a bite of the warm French toast as of they are actually visiting here.

The HKTB has also introduced a number of thematic routes through its “Great Outdoors” platform, which features water sports such as canoeing, snorkeling, and stand-up paddle surfing, providing visitors with a refreshingly cool experience and a different choice when visiting Hong Kong in the future.
