  1. TIMESTAMPS

I'm pouring water into a glass jar and wiping my watercolor set clean with tissue paper dipped in water 0:00. By the way, you don't need to clean your watercolor palette everytime after painting. You can let the paint dry and then reactivate it with water the next time you paint. I'm only cleaning my watercolor palette for the sake of this video.

My glass palette for oil paints has dried. I'm peeling off the plastic wrap 3:09 and scraping off the dry paint with a scraper that's meant for glass-ceramic stoves 5:29 and collecting the dry paint into a glass jar.

My wooden palette for oil paints has also dried. I'm scraping off the bigger paint pieces with the scraper 10:55 (and damaging the palette while I'm at it…) and wiping paint off the palette with a tissue paper and a mix of water and linseed oil 12:48. This should work a lot better for cleaning wet paint.

Unfortunately some of the footage is missing (it included pouring water), I either forgot to press record or accidently deleted a segment. But next I'm soaking a plastic paint palette in water 14:16 to make the dry acrylic paint come off more easily. I'm peeling and scraping the paint off with a blunt knife 14:37 and collecting it into another glass jar with more acrylic paint peels. I'm soaking the paint palette some more in water and dishwashing liquid 19:47. I'll make an art tips video about the results of this experiment so stay tuned for that, if you're interested.

Finally, I'm showing you the glass jars with the paint peelings inside 20:29.

This video is part 2 for the ASMR Paint Peeling video.

  2. Argh! Just two days after publishing this video, I found the "missing" footage of the plastic paint palette and water pouring. I don't know what I'll do with it now.

  3. Thank you for this video i really liked it!
