Today, I will be eating temaki sushi (Japanese hand rolled sushi). I love this type of sushi because it’s so easy to eat and can be filled with a variety of different ingredients. This particular one is filled with spicy tuna and cucumber. Along side of it, I also have some spicy shoyu ahi poke. Both the sushi and poke were picked up from Masa and Joyce Okazuya. Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a term used for an experience characterized by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. It has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia. ASMR signifies the subjective experience of “low-grade euphoria” characterized by “a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin”. Mukbang is an online audiovisual broadcast in which a host eats large quantities of food while interacting with their audience. This is has grown in popularity over the years especially in Korea.
