ASMR Videos Of Rodents Enjoying Snacks Will Seriously Soothe You

ASMR videos are providing some much-needed relaxation to people all over the internet. Usually, the video’s subjects are lulled into a peaceful state as people whisper, eat, or play with textured items.

These ASMR videos are unlike any ones you’ve ever seen before, however. They star rodents enjoying snacks.

TikTok user @elliesanimals rescues small animals. She recently began making ASMR videos of them as they enjoy their snacks. “I’ve got 17 small pets right now and the majority of them are rescues. I developed an interest in keeping them after starting the first part of my degree in animal behavior and welfare, and soon discovered that there are so many small rodents in need of homes for various reasons,” Ellie told Newsflare.

“Some however required more work to learn to trust people and be handled and came from more neglectful situations. A lot of the time they come from family homes where the children get bitten or lost interest and the parents can’t cope. I think people forget that small animals aren’t that ‘easy’ to look after and still require lots of care and input!”

“Rats are my particular favorites and most of the time the animals I rescue then stay with me to live out their natural lives,” she explained.

One of her video stars is Monty. He can be seen nibbling on a cheddar biscuit. “Monty came to me because he ended up as a single rat and they must be kept in a group,” she said.

Ellie hopes that in showing the animals in a different way, people may grow to appreciate them more. She hopes others will be inspired to rescue rodents.
