So, Ephemeral either breaks the fouth wall by admitting he's not Batman and just a guy pretending to be so, while painting faces, or…there is no 'or'…he FULLY admits it, and no one seems to have caught it. "Do you think I'd be sitting out here…painting faces…instead of fighting crime?" The only obvious answer is 'no'. I don't think that. No one would. So, Batman would not be doing this and we are to assume he means that we should accept this answer in response to his question. He's not Batman. Oh, Jesus. I just overanalyzed an ASMR vid on youtube.
