  3. Wayne King says:

Step one : roll a finely tucked spliif filled with the finest weed in the west farthing

Step two: obtain a tea or coffee or perhaps something stronger

Step three: find a merry place where the moon meets the sky

Step 4: smoke said spliff and try not to die when the breaking of the fellowship music dawns

When I was in 7th grade, I played the lego lotrs game, and just stayed in the shire for hours due to the music.

Teleworking in this stressful time is lonely. So, I'm playing this this morning because I want more than anything to be in The Shire right now. I think when this is done, I'll travel to Rivendell.

  8. John Stokes says:

Thank you. This is helping me through a hard time of life and I really appreciate the work you put into this.

I always loved Tolkien's books, and when the trilogy came out as movie, I felt that it has changed my life forever.
Now, almost 20 years ago, and in this difficult time of isolation and quarantine the movies are my biggest comfort ever.
I play this video every morning, as soon as I get up, making breakfast and coffee and doing usual routine. The music takes me away from here, from the pain and from the isolation, to some better place. I dream about Shire every night. Thank you all for the comments, and it's right , this channel is the most beautiful place where everyone feels at home. Greetings from Itay.

  10. I just smoked a jib and this music is lit af

  11. I play this every night in the barracks, thankful to have met men that love Tolkien’s work as much as I do. Not a day goes by that we don’t listen to this and ponder over our homes and family. Much love from the troops to this comment section, Semper Fidelis.

It's funny I don't think of lotr immediately when listening to this, I just think of peaceful and happy times. It applies to all fiction for me just as well, and makes for great writing background music

  18. This is lovely, but man does my left ear hate the drums

  19. Miche Lino says:

I may die to keep the shire the way it is, the place of pure and clean souls

  25. zrichards907 says:

One of those rare movies that you can hear the whole story just through the music. LOTR checked every single box for a memorable experience, those that love the movie are enveloped in this beautiful world Tolkien created. These movies are timeless and shows how amazing cinema can be. I dont normally get goosebumps when listening to an OST, but because of how well ingrained the music is with the story and struggles these characters go through its overwhelming and you cant help it (for me anyway). This will forever be my favorite movie and trilogy and im grateful i got to enjoy these movies when they were on the big screen and at the same time devastated that we will never get those actors, with this composition, with that same story ever again.

  27. All these comments are making me smile with happy tears. I want to add one of my favorite conversations in the books/movies.

“PIPPIN: I didn't think it would end this way.

GANDALF: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.

    PIPPIN: What? Gandalf? See what?

GANDALF: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.

PIPPIN: Well, that isn't so bad.

    GANDALF: No. No, it isn't.”

  28. How have i not found this channel before, absolutely amazing so lovely. Harry Potter and LOTR 2 of my favourite films and books. I look forward to discovering more

0:03 will always remind me of 2003. Just graduated from an alternative high school for those who did not do well in their 4th year of high school and students are required to graduate exactly at 18 years old. I wasn't a misfit for going to that school, I was failing classes because I had a difficult time learning and being held back was not an option so they sent me away to an alternative high school – full of hopeless kids who may end up in jail or who will be scraping by in life. Some of the girls were pregnant or had kids at school with no father to help the child. It was designed for the lowest of all lowest kids who had one chance to redeem themselves once graduated. I did not walk with my classmates from my other high school. I did befriend most of the misfits who I all met and got to know. It was bad but something about that high school made me feel welcomed and the teachers actually gave a f*ck about their students well being. I remember missing the bus after school, I lived 9 miles away. One of the teachers gave me ride. He asked about my life, where I was from and what I planned after graduating high school. I told him I haven't graduated. He told me I will. On the way to my house he told me that once I finish high school, he wants to see me make something out of myself. That yes I will experience the tough challenges in life but learn to overcome and defeat what holds you down. He says don't be someone you want to be. Be the best version of yourself and find your own success. Years later, after years of hard work and several obstacles, I managed to start my own technology business with a yearly revenue of 10.5M. I employed two of the high school friends I grew up with. Twice a year I donate to the old high school I graduated from – providing them with new books, new classroom materials, daycare materials and new gym equipment (the old equipment was still there, rotted and unprotected). I go back once in a while and park by the school and reminiscence the stupid stuff I used to do back in my youth. Life is strange but anyone who felt the same I did, I am with you. And so is Gandalf.

  30. This has become my working from home background relaxation – thank you! =D
