Those who miss flying and the sound of announcements at the KL International Airport can satiate their wanderlust with a special ASMR recording from Malaysia Airlines.

The national carrier recently posted the 30-minute clip on its social media platforms that lets listeners feel like they are taking a flight to London.

The clip, titled The Sounds of MH, was accompanied by a cheeky warning: “Brain tingling and nostalgia side effects to be expected. Listen with caution. Headphones recommended for ASMR effect”.

In the recording, listeners are treated to the iconic sound of the chimes that accompanied announcements in KLIA. This is followed by the sound inside an MH4 flight from KL to London.

Since it was posted yesterday (June 22), the video has garnered many positive responses in the YouTube comment section.

“The KLIA announcement sound is so satisfying,” said Aisy Amsyar.

“Missing the plane vibes on MH flight. Hope aviation industry comeback stronger than ever very soon. Finger cross!” said YouTube user Whiskey93.

Meanwhile, Mohamad Redzuan said Malaysia Airlines should upload the clip on Spotify.

Many others expressed their hope to be able to travel again.

“Hope the pandemic will over soon and we can fly to see the world like before,” said Ameenur Ashraff.

ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) refers to the sensation people get when they watch stimulating videos or take part in activities that require personal attention.

ASMR recordings are best listened to with headphones.
