Hollywood sure likes exciting the child predators out there. Was it really that important to show what appears to be a 14 yr. old girl nude? What am I saying, it's Hollywood, of course it was. Fcuking perverts all of you.

  17. Dove Dover says:

I think Court didn't like Danni too much because she was too young and immature.
Had she been 2 or 3 years older I believe he would've loved her and possibly left Maureen alone. I think Maureen should've turned Court down. I blame her 100% because of course Court chose the more mature sister who was willing to have sex with him. Maureen should have turned him down, left him alone and eventually her and Danni both would've been happier in the end .

  18. My all time favorite movie…I haven't seen this movie in years .
Young love and early heart ache …

  21. I saw this when it first came out. It made me understand how fragile our lives are, and how just one act can change everything for many people. Sad and moving.

  22. Children, please. I'm reading your posts, and I am thinking you must all be 14 year old girls. She was too young for him. He was her sister's age. She just had a huge pre-teen crush, nothing more. When you're 45, you will look at this in an entirely different way.

  28. The main scene that stuck out to me was when Dani and Court were swimming in the lake at night. When they were looking at each other you could see Court put his hand on her head like he wanted to kiss her. He stared into her eyes and you could tell that he wanted to kiss her but then he thought more about it and he had to snap himself out of it. I think in that moment he realized that he had feelings for Dani and cared about her but he knew that it would be wrong because of the age gap. I think that Dani and Court belonged together and Court could have potentially fallen in love with Dani as they got a little older. I think Court and Dani had a great bond and he liked Dani for her personality and how she made him feel more like a kid, where as he only really loved her sister because of her looks and that he thought that she made better sense to be with than Dani. I love this movie so much but sometimes I wonder if it had a little bit of a different ending like instead of Court dying, Dani died and then after Dani was actually gone he would realize that he was meant to be with her.

  34. Thrivalist says:

Story about maturing and how it involves seeing others as separate from one's own needs. Both sisters mature and that is shown beautifully. I wonder though about the far more tragic side story and about community taking better care of the less fortunate and not just movies celebrating how lucky in love one family is. ย
So many commenters hype focused on big sister being disloyal and I get the raw emotion AND it is missing the whole point of the film though to stay only with that feeling. She did in fact try to talk to her younger sister. Yes the family was very lucky in love. Everyone suffers disappointments and terrible tragedies…how many have that strong love to hold them and be a foundation while they crumble and help them rebuild their will to live? Not enough so there are movies like this we watch and live vicariously. Sure, ideal would have been the big sister and C talk with the little sister and explain but they didn't know what had hit them either. How do you explain what makes no sense. What would the sister have said? "Your too young for him" ? He could have done more to talk with the younger sister but look all he had on his plate at his age ..he was distracted by hardship, loss and change and then for a nice change of pace by playfulness with the little sister……just like the older sister said to her younger sister, practice kissing with me…changed to "On your hand" …only he could show her what it felt like and lucky he was such a good guy to have done so without taking it further.

  35. My sisters and I watched this the other day and when Maureen got out of the car and started giving Court the "eye" we were all "Puta! He's Dani's man!" ๐Ÿ˜‚
