Award-winning speculative fiction author and performance artist Claire Fitzpatrick debut’s her live interactive show at Anywhere Festival in May 2021.
Haus Of Beaver Productions presents ‘Mental Illness Is Not A Crime’ from Claire Fitzpatrick – an extended and updated version of her performance at Raise The Roof Higher with Vulcana Women’s Circus and Wham! Bam! Cabaret! Slam! with Ruckus Brisbane in 2019.
‘Mental Illness Is Not A Crime’ is a one hour immersive, interactive, and live art performance of ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian responses) experiences. With body painting, letter writing, hair brushing, and back tracings, including partial nudity, audience members are welcome to participate in all areas of the show to experience the tingling, deeply calming ASMR sensations intended to naturally release dopamine and de-stress through soothing, repetitious acts.
Claire Fitzpatrick has previously performed with Glitter Martini, Vulcana Women’s Circus, Ruckus Brisbane, and Velvet Helmet. ‘Mental Illness Is Not A Crime’ is conceived, created, and developed by Fitzpatrick.
