The European Robin or Erithacus Rubecula. My British Garden Birds in all the seasons ~ Winter Spring Autumn Summer ~ England, UK…
The UK’s favourite bird – with its bright red breast it is familar throughout the year and especially at Christmas! Males and females look identical, and young birds have no red breast and are spotted with golden brown. Robins sing nearly all year round and despite their cute appearance, they are aggressively territorial and are quick to drive away intruders. They will sing at night next to street lights.
My Robin was captured on my Canon S5 video camera in my garden in the Spring and painted in Oils in Winter Time, while listening to a Dawn Chorus I recorded in the Spring… 🙂

Brilliant Robin Artwork… Love Birds and Robins Singing ~ Thank you 🙂
Thank you very much… much appreciated ~ Simon 🙂
What a lovely painting. I like how you have captured the softness of his plumage and the bright sparkle in his eye. Thats what makes a painting come alive!
Have you heard about the S.A.A The Society for all Artists.
They are a mail order artist material suppliers and they are very good. They have some realy good reductions on artist quality materials. They are well worth checking out if you are interested..
I have been a coustomer of theirs for several years.
Thank you very much ~ Yes I should join S.A.A. Thank you for the suggestion, because Art materials can be expensive ! Especially if you use a lot of mediums like I do ~ Oils, Acylics, Watercolours and Pencils 🙂
