If you’re like me, you can’t sleep in a perfectly quiet environment. It’ll drive you crazy. I’ve noticed recently that the sound the NJ Transit F40PH-2CAT makes when it idles works great as white noise, so I created this video of the NJ Transit F40PH-2CAT idling for 10 hours. A few other trains also pass the station on the adjacent tracks. If you have any other trains you’d like to listen to idling, feel free to comment and I’ll make a video of it.
