Took a stroll down to Heimie’s Haberdashery in downtown St. Paul MN. Barber Dani took great care of me while providing a luxorious and relaxing straight razor shave experience.
Rounds of hot towels, lathering and a great face massage with pre-shave oil, the bristles became nice and softened to get the closest and best hot towel shave in the cities!

i'm not trying to take sides here, but the girl's basic stuff are there. she clearly tried to not go against the grain, but the guy's face is full of pimples ans bumps, most probably from so many products and beard oils used for that beard. i thought the idea for growing a beard for some people, is for your skin to get back to health. in the same time DON'T use products. a guy using beard products is the most ridiculous thing – it defeats the purpose of growing a beard: skin health or looking rugged.
I hope he got to the hospital in time for a transfusion.

What the hell, has she ever given a straight razor shave before?? Usually the customer doesn't come away with a bunch of fresh wounds on his face. I've had straight razor shaves all over the world and never got cut once, let alone tore up like this guy's face.

Time completely slows, when you are in a quality barber shop. Unfortunately, I cut and shave my own self now. There is really not a need to visit a barber anymore.

I've had and seen many straight razor shaves where they stropped the razor to sharpen it and didn't use disposal blades. The laws in my state now no longer allow that for health reasons. Both male and female barbers — they were both good. I've never had a closer shave. Cuts and nicks were very rare. Now, I shave with a straight razor when I'm not in a hurry. It's practically a lost art.
