The Missouri Breaks

YouTube Movies

An 1880s Montana cattle baron (John McLiam) hangs a cattle rustler, mostly as an example to the gang’s leader (Jack Nicholson). Nicholson vows revenge, but falls in love with the daughter (Kathleen Lloyd) of the cattle baron, and decides to settle down and become a farmer. But he continues to assist the rustlers who still raid McLiam’s land. McLiam hires a top-gun bounty hunter (Marlon Brando). Nicholson sets out to kill Brando, but loses his chance. Brando resumes a murderous rampage which will soon wipe out all the outlaws– except Nicholson, who will precede his final battle to the death with Brando in a competition of mugging, switching accents (Brando) and mannerisms that would, in themselves, do in lesser men. This enormously entertaining movie was directed by Arthur Penn.

  11. Peter A says:

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
    John 3:16-18
    Have a fantastic day.

Good movie, but too much Tom foolery. I would label genres as Action Adventure Comedy.

    It's a story about hope….

  24. Jim Nabors & George Lindsay turned down the lead roles !!!

  25. I think this is an underrated movie. It's not the best for Nicholson or Brando but I thinks it's very good. It's definitely offbeat and it has a great supporting cast in Randy Quaid (before he went nuts), Frederic Forrest (Funny thing about him. He mentioned he did two movies with Brando but never shared any scenes with him and was killed by him in both movies.), John McLiam, Harry Dean Stanton (You know it's a big plus when he's in a movie!), John P. Ryan, and Kathleen Lloyd.

  26. When Brando was at the height of impending psychosis, – entertaining to watch, but think JN was the true beneficiary, here( for reasons other than being the last man standing).By some measure, this little movie figured large in my childhood.Revisit periodically.

  27. Donde Merlin says:

    I just came for Brando.

There are too many ads & they're
    WAY TOO LOUD!
Too bad the FCC doesn't regulate YT.

  29. This has got to be one of the best westerns of the 70's. Star-studded, funny and classy.

  30. It's only good when Brando is in it.

  31. ..hmmmm!? > Marlons "granny get-up" was an interesting touch.

  32. ..or should I say an odd touch?

  33. cn 250 says:

I thought it sucked when i originally saw it. Lets give it another look. My comment will follow. Yep, still sucks.

  34. After a long fast….breaks.

  35. Bison are hardier in the winter, you need no fences, and you do not have to feed them. More beef on the hoof. So, white people killed them off, and brought in cattle. Makes no sense.

  36. Only the wealthy can steal with impunity.

  37. Apoca horse now.

  38. You kill one person, you go to prison for life. If you are in the White House, you can kill 160,000 US citizens with impunity. Those are the Missouri Breaks.

  39. What kept me watching this dribble was Brando's antics and Kathleen Lloyd a CUTIE. This trash is a cure for Insomnia; and it confirmed my suspicion about Nicholson he has got to be the most overated actor in cinema history. He gives garbage a bad name!

  40. Here for the adds looks like I hit the jackpot wow. 😳

  41. Can’t here what they’re saying so I’m putting in my own words lol

  42. Larry says:

Vern. Best acting in the whole damned movie! He should have got an Academy Award! "You betcha!"

  43. Trend Laser says:
