Halloween Face Paint (ASMR)

VisualSounds1 ASMR

I paint your face!

Do you hear that low hum?! I do! What the heck is it?! SO annoying but I don’t know why it’s there or how to fix it so we’ll just have to deal with it, sorry 🙁

  1. Your facepaint video from almost 6 years ago was the FIRST asmr video i ever watched!! 😚😄 i got all these tingles and was freaked out and shared the video on facebook saying "someone PLEASE watch this- does it make u feel weird?! Am i having pre-stroke symptoms?! Haaaalp! 😑😲😖 hahaha 😂 nobody knew what the hell i was on about but needless to say ASMR vids took over my life. I was actually at the beginning of learning to facepaint for real at the time when i accidentally hit on your video. Six years on face painting and body art is my fulltime job, and i spend between 2-9 hrs a night/day watching asmr vids- its a weird world! 😚😚😚

Your accent is so sweet and melodic it makes my heart so happy! It’s so soothing to listen to it puts me right to sleep. Plus I love makeup application roleplays so I extra love this video 😆 💕

The very first ever ASMR video I had ever seen was a visualsounds face painting. I was hooked.

    Gibi description anyone?

  7. Graham says:

To kill that hum, first just ensure that your mic and its lead are not physically close to any mains leads or power supplies. (If you can, try monitoring the sound on headphones while you experiment with its positioning) I reckon that'll cure it, but if not, get someone to check the mic lead itself (in particular the connections in the plugs at either end)

I’ve been a strong fan since your very first ASMR vid. I don’t get or enjoy the cosplay stuff however. The (dare I say… weird stuff). But you do you! I admire your confidence so much! I don’t like the long nail stuff, but maybe it’s a cultural thing? Anyway, I LOVE your makeup vids. My fave was the face painting of a tiger, where you sllloooowwwlllyyyy removed that pad from the sleeve. I always fall asleep around then. You KNOW what you’re doing, and your talents. And appealing to the masses has to be difficult. Just my two cents. You’ve grown a LOT since that first video. 🙂

Also…your eyes are amazing. And so is the haircut! I just hate the “tap tap tap”, and tongue clicking that everyone does now.

I love you so much, but I’m confused as to why so many artists are saying “dab dab dab dab dab…”when they put make up on? You’re not the only one who does it, it seems have become a trend but it breaks the realism for me.

I didn't look through all the comments but I looked through a good chunk and didn't see a fix listed for your hum. Some programs have a setting to reduce the sound from a 60hz hum which is typically from appliances and what not. If you use the adobe suite, it's available in audition. It'll probably change the way you sound alittle bit though. You can also probably use any Equalizer to get it out which is typically available in most audio editing programs. You can youtube how to do most of this stuff if it happens again "How To EQ out 60hz hum" or "How to remove 60hz Hum". Sorry for the late comment, I just happened to look at the description and thought to my self "Hey I know how to fix that". Good luck

  12. Let me say this before I nerd out. Unusually excellent video. Varied, yet consistent triggers, perfect audio levels, etc. Top notch. Probably one of your best videos this year.

That said… Dons glasses and pocket protector
Couldn't tell you exactly what the hum is, although I'm willing to bet something like a large fan or refrigerator had turned on. Depending on whether your mic was battery-powered or plugged into a wall outlet, it could also be a ground loop issue, in which case you'd have to throw a AC Conditioner onto the outlet. A cheaper way of handling it would be to record just the sound itself, throw it into a program such as Audacity, invert the sound, then play it back at the same volume level underneath your video, thus causing audio cancellation. Or, if your editing software allows it, throw on a high-pass filter to filter out the lowest frequencies you can without altering the rest of the audio.

Or just leave it in. It kinda has its own ASMR quality to it, TBH. In fact, considering that low-frequency humming sounds are often used for relaxation purposes, you may have stumbled across a new trick.

Apperently if you have your phones wifi on near the mic it interferes causing the humming… Class video 🙂
