hello! 💛✨

this painting is a collab with @madebyshae on instagram! 🧸 our theme is “childhood” 🧸 i painted a scene from a place we always went to as a kid 🧒🏻 i used to hang out in this playground after lunch up until late afternoon. it definitely reminded me how hot the surface of the slides are in the middle of the blazing sun 😂

i painted the pathway and the plants surrounding it a bit darker while the playground area being very vibrant and bright, kinda symbolising the ‘me’ now looking back at those bright, cheerful and carefree days i guess???? 😌✨

‘if i met my seven year old self today,
what would I tell her,
what would I say?
would i warn her of the future,
of the bad things yet to come?
or would i leave her to be naive,
to keep having fun?
because my seven year old self,
believed the world a perfect place,
would she recognize herself,
when she looked into my face?
even though i’ve learnt so much more,
and ten years have passed since then,
i would give up everything i have,
to view life through her eyes again’
