Painted wine glasses with Norwegian Rosemaling by Art of Lise – ASMR/Pandemic Therapy

Rosemaling by Art of Lise

Welcome back to my studio and a fun day with painting wine glasses with the traditional Norwegian Folk Art called Rosemaling. Today I am using acrylic paint by Folk Art. The base colors are Gold (4033) and champagne (675). The detail is done with Deco Art Americana – vanilla shake. I am using my Jo Sonja #4 round to paint the base strokes and Loew Cornell jackie shaw 10/0 liner.
These glasses will be baked in an over at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. The next day, I coat all the brush strokes with Jo Sonja Satin Acrylic varnish. I let it dry for a day, then bake the glass for a second time at the same temperature and time as the first go around.
Thank you again for joining me!

  1. I had no idea you could paint on glass with acrylic paint and bake it. I'm amazed. I'd watch whatever you want to paint but I have a large wooden tray that I would love to get ideas for.

  2. Yay! Dala horses! Sounds great!

So beautiful!! Would love to see some liner work combinations, like you did at the base of the glass, and the long stroke with leaves. I finally have a Christmas ornament that looks like yours, so happy with it. I think my biggest problem is that you show examples of c strokes that look like commas, but the use an actual c stroke in the flowers. Still trying to get the order of the strokes down. Would still love Christmas ornament patterns. Bought the sled pattern but the sled is. It showing on the site for sale.
